Red, black, and white with a Southern state of mind.
Southbound pairs bold dyed red sponge coral with oversized black-and-white Krobo powder glass beads for a necklace made with Georgia Saturdays in mind—but not limited to them.
The irregular tumbled coral slabs bring vivid color and organic shape, framed on either side by graphic black-and-white Krobo beads handmade from traditional powder glass. Textured stainless steel cable chain adds a cooler, slightly rugged contrast and gives the substantial beads room to stand on their own.
It’s spirited without being novelty game-day jewelry—made for UGA Saturdays, cookouts, and nights out long after the final whistle.
A red sponge coral nugget at the end of the extender carries one last bit of color to the back.
How to Wear
Southbound does the work with a simple backdrop. Wear it with a white button-down or tee, black, denim, or other uncomplicated neutrals and let the red, black, and white take over.
For UGA game days, it gives you the colors without logos or traditional football jewelry. At 18 inches, it sits near the collarbone; use the extender to take it to 20 inches when you want a little more length.
Pair it with the Southbound Bracelet for the full look.
Meaning + Metaphysical
Coral has long carried associations with protection, vitality, and connection to the sea. It is traditionally believed to encourage strength, confidence, and emotional grounding.
Please note: these traditional associations are shared for interest and are not intended as medical or therapeutic claims.
Stone + Material Notes
Sponge coral is an organic material characterized by its natural texture, variation, and porous structure. The coral used in Southbound has been dyed red, so variations in color, markings, shape, and surface are part of each bead.
The black-and-white Krobo beads are powder glass beads associated with Krobo beadmaking traditions in Ghana. Their handmade character means markings, shape, and finish will vary from bead to bead.
These natural and handmade variations are intentional and make each Southbound piece slightly different.
