The Studio

This is where Mossy Isle takes shape.

From the worktable, from the coast, and from the quiet places in between.

From the Worktable

Not everything begins as a finished piece.

Some things are observed first — then carried, then made.

Some pieces return to the worktable,
and become something else.

Field Notes

The tide was low this morning. Oyster beds exposed, quiet and still.

Everything felt slower — like it had time to settle.

There’s a point where the water slows. Not still — just quieter.

That’s usually where things gather. And where most pieces begin.

Writing & Story

Some stories begin the same way the pieces do.

Not fully formed.
Not all at once.

Observed first — then carried, then written.

What the Tide Left Behind began this way — shaped by place, memory, and the things that return when you least expect them.
