Welcome to Mossy Isle!

Before Anything Is Made, It’s Lived.

Mossy Isle began long before it had a name.

I grew up in Savannah, Georgia, where days spent crabbing, fishing, and exploring the surrounding islands and waterways were simply part of life. From the saltwater creeks and marshes of the coast to freshwater fishing trips in rural Georgia, the outdoors was never far away.

Those places, experiences, and memories have stayed with me.

For the past eight years, I’ve called Wilmington Island home. Just east of Savannah, it’s where I live, design, and create Mossy Isle jewelry, surrounded by the waterways, marshes, and familiar landscapes that have shaped so much of my life.

And somewhere along the way, those influences began finding their way into the things I created.

How Mossy Isle Came to Be

I’ve always loved making things.

About a decade ago, I tried my hand at jewelry making and discovered how much I enjoyed it. Life eventually pulled me in other directions, and the beads and tools were put aside.

Years later, after watching jewelry makers share their work online, I found myself thinking, I can do that.

So I picked it up again.

What began as a creative outlet soon became an idea for a small business. I loved the process of designing and making jewelry, and I saw the possibility of building something of my own around it.

Mossy Isle grew from that possibility.

And as I continued creating, I realized that what I wanted to build extended beyond jewelry.

More Than Jewelry

Based on Wilmington Island, just outside Savannah, Georgia, Mossy Isle is a Southern coastal lifestyle brand rooted in the places, experiences, and stories of Savannah and the Coastal Empire.

It lives somewhere between coastal and earthy.

Salt + soil. Water + time.

You’ll find those influences in handmade jewelry with natural stones, weathered textures, and worn finishes. In photographs of quiet waterways, marsh edges, and familiar places. In everyday treasures and in the stories I tell, including my upcoming Southern coastal mystery, What the Tide Left Behind.

The jewelry, photography, writing, and other creative pursuits aren’t separate worlds. They’re different expressions of the same life and landscape.

Mossy Isle is about how things are worn, kept, and lived with — not simply how they’re styled.

It’s a little bit of the Savannah coast, a little bit of the places I’ve been, and a lot of the things that have stayed with me.

And there’s still more to come.
